"More Than I can Handle"

The man that built his house upon the rocks wasn't told
that if he stayed close to God, did everything he could to
follow Him, that the storm would not come.

The point is the After the storm came, the house still
stood.

Sometimes we get caught up in the "Working our
Christianity out" that we are surprised and set off course
when life doesn't  fall into a nice neat existence.   Or the
unthinkable happens.

I love that in 2 Cor 1:8-9 Paul talks about having more
than he can handle.  The passage states;

"... under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure,
so that we despaired even of life, in our hearts
we felt the sentence of death..."

Wow how unbelievable.  Paul felt this way too?
He felt the way I feel?  I thought maybe only I
felt this way.

This is Paul!  Who loved Christ so much.  Believed so much
yet there were times he thought he could not take anymore.
The storms of life were to much.  Paul was so honest.

Then we read on

vs. 9b  "... this happened that we might not rely on
ourselves but on God..."

I know God absolutely gives us more than we can handle,
understand, persevere.  He knows what each of us out
there counts as, To Much.  He often pushes us over that
line.

Be prepared for the storms of life.

Stay under and cling to Gods shelter while
Going through The Storm.

God will be glorified and you will
be strengthened.

Romans 8:18
"..our present sufferings are not worth comparing
with the glory that will be revealed in us..."

In the midst of what ever storm you are going through
today.  Big or Small.  Great loss or an out of
control child you are trying to reign in.  Feeling
misunderstood or run over.   If your heart is
set on Christ He will pull you through and give you
strength that will lead to a victorious Christian walk
and the comfort and joy you need along the way.
